After studying Business Studies in Harrogate and Computer Sciences in Wolverhampton, Robin joined a firm of accountants in Harrogate in 1986.

After working for a couple of larger Chartered Accountants in Leeds for 14 years, he then worked a short time in industry, picking up valuable experience in this field.

In 1988 Robin started R Stride & Co. and the firm has grown ever since.

He became a member of his professional body in February 1988, and was accepted as a fellow member in April 1995
